  Reader's Digest Trusted Brand Gold Award goes to Air India for fifth time

New Delhi : National carrier Air India has won the Gold Award in the Reader's Digest Trusted Brand 2010 Survey, India in the airlines' category, for a record fifth consecutive year.

K.D.Row, Ge-neral Manager (Sales and Marketing), Western India, received the award on be-half of Air India, at a function held in Mumbai on June 29 from Ms. Suzanne M Grimes, President, North American Affinities and India, The Reader's Digest Association Inc.

Winning the award describes the testimony to the consumers' reaffirmation of their confidence in Air India and, an impetus to the airline's continued efforts at ensuring customer satisfaction. Air India is all set to join the Star Alliance club early next year.

The award was given on the basis of a consumer poll covering several parameters carried out simultaneously in Hong Kong, India, China, Malaysia, Phili-ppines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand and analysed by the independent res-earch house, Synovate.

Air India, India's national carrier celebrated its Platinum Jubilee in 2007. Since the first flight on October 15, 1932, Air India has grown to become a mega international airline with a network of 51 destinations across the USA, Eu-rope, Canada, Far-East and South-East Asia and the Gulf. The airline's domestic network covers 63 destinations, including far-flung areas of the North-East, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
