  RAK Airways to restart operations before end of this year

Dubai : RAK Airways PJSC, the United Arab Emirates' airline owned by the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, plans to restart operations before the end of this year after suspending flights for about a year.

The suspension was because of the global financial crisis, the airline said in an e-mailed statement recently. The company is looking at destinations in the Gulf, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent, it said.
