Qatar Airways, Box of Happiness jointly handover gifts to underprivileged kids.

Dhaka : Qatar Airways and Qatar Airways Cargo in partnership with Qatar Red Crescent Society and charity organisation Box of Happiness gifted 500 boxes of toys to underprivileged school children in Bangladesh on September 4 at Hotel Sarina in the capital.
Jaya Prakash Nair, Country Manager, Qatar Airways Bangladesh along with renowned Bangladeshi actors Zahid Hassan and Shomi Kaiser handed over boxes of toys to children from Alor Khoje, Hashimukh Somaj Kallayan Songstha and Chittagong Grammar Community School during the fun-filled event.
Jaya Prakash Nair, Country Manager, Qatar Airways Bangladesh said, "At Qatar Airways, we are dedicated towards creating a brighter environment for the community and we are pleased to support charitable organisations like Box of Happiness that bring joy to the lives of children in need around the world."
Nair also gifted toy boxes to 1-year old children suffering from malnutrition on September 3 at International Centre for Diarrhoeal Research.
Alor Khoje, Hashimukh Somaj Kallayan Songstha and Chittagong Grammar Community School all run active volunteering programmes, where children from underprivileged backgrounds are provided education to help create a positive change in their environment.
As the national carrier of the State of Qatar, the airline embraces its role as a corporate citizen in communities around the world, as evidenced by the airline's 'Educate a Child' partnership that aims to considerably reduce the number of children worldwide who lack access to education. True to its slogan "Moved by people", the cargo division of the airline also actively supports community wellbeing projects in its goal of giving back to the society.
