Dhaka : Private carrier NOVOAIR flew 29 Indian sailors back home on a special flight on September 1. The flight departed at 2:30 pm and landed in Kolkata 2:52 pm local time.
Following the virus outbreak, flights between India and Bangladesh have been suspended from March 15. As a result, many Indian sailors were stranded in Bangladesh amid the coronavirus pandemic.
NOVOAIR currently operates daily four flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, three to Cox's Bazar, four to Jashore and Saidpur, two flights to Sylhet, Barishal and Rajshahi in compliance with the health guidelines issued by the government.
