Ten employees of Heritage killed at FR Tower fire incident

Dhaka : The tragic fire incident at 22-storied FR Tower at Banani on March 28 claimed 26 lives including 10 employees of Heritage Air Express, a reputed tour and travel agency of the country. Nine employees were killed on the day and one died at the hospital on March 30.
Around 20 employees of the agency were in the office located at the 10th floor, when the building was caught by deadly fire. Md Faizul Islam Hiru, Managing Director of Heritage Air Express along with several staff somehow managed to climb to the roof and jumped to the neighbouring building to survive.
The victims of Heritage Air Express are Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Account Manager; Md Monir Hossain Sarder, Ticketing Officer, Md Nahidul Islam, Ticketing Officer, Md Mizanur Rahman, Visa Coordinator, Md Abu Hena, Hajj and Umrah officer, Md Ataur Rahman, Jabun Nesa, Visa Officer, Tanjila Mouli, Tour Operation Officer, Md Maksudur Rahman, Holidays staff and Rumki Akter, Accounts Officer. The last two were a couple in their personal life.
Editorial Board and Management of The Bangladesh Monitor have expressed profound shock and condolences at the sad demise of Heritage employees and extended heartfelt sympathy to the members of the bereaved families.
Bangladesh Inbound Tour Operators Association (BD Inbound) arranged a milad and dua mahfil at their Banani office on March 30 to pray for the salvation of the deceased employees of Heritage Air Express.
