Dhaka : US-Bangla Airlines has added another brand new ATR 72-600 marking the entry of the ninth aircraft in the airlines' fleet, the highest among the private airlines in Bangladesh.
The airline brought two brand new ATR 72-600s in the span of two weeks. The second one landed in Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:30 pm on April 10.
Imran Asif, Chief Executive Officer, US-Bangla Airlines officially received the aircraft at the airport. Senior officials from US-Bangla Airlines and Civil Aviation Authority were also present on the occasion.
The aircraft departed from Blagnac Airport, France and came through Egypt and Oman to land in Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. A prayer was held after the landing for the welfare of the airline.
The new ATR 72-600 aircraft has 72 seats. It will be operated on internal routes.
Currently, there are four Boeing 737-800s, three Dash 8-Q400s and two ATR 72-600s among the nine aircrafts in US-Bangla fleet.
US-Bangla Airlines started its journey with the 'Fly Fast, Fly Safe' slogan and plans to add two more ATR 72-600 aircraft in its fleet within this May for more internal flight operations.
