Hussain Ghuloom, Country Manager, Gulf Air Bangladesh
Dhaka : The national flag carrier of Bahrain Gulf Air is planning to increase frequencies to/from Bangladesh from August, announced Hussain Ghuloom, Country Manager - Bangladesh of Gulf Air at the Top Agent Award Night 2019 held on July 27 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.
Currently, the airline operates 5 flights a week. The country manager informed that the carrier may add two more flights, taking the number of flights per week to seven.
The airline is bringing Airbus - A330, with 247 seats on Economy and 8 full flat beds in Business Class. Gulf Air closed operations in Bangladesh in 2013 to remodel its fleet. Then, the flag carrier restarted its operations to/from Bangladesh in 2016.
At the Top Agent Award Night 2019, Gulf Air awarded its top passenger and cargo agents from Bangladesh. Hussain Ghuloom, Country Manager, Md Khirul Bashar, Sales Executive from Gulf Air Bangladesh, Mehnaz Manan, Deputy Managing Director and Arif Rahman, Director from Bengal Airlift Ltd (GSA of Gulf Air Cargo) were present at the award ceremony.
Among the Top Passenger Agents who were awarded, there were Sunflower Air Linkers, Al-Gazi Travels and Tours Ltd, Citycom International Travel Agency (PVT) LTD, Ababil Travels and Tours, Kopotakkha Travels and Tours, Victory Travels Ltd, Islamia Overseas Ltd, Valencia Travels and Tours Ltd, My Trip Tourism, Kazi Air International (PVT) LTD, Concorde International, Suma International Services.
On the other hand, as the Top Cargo Agents, WAC logistics LTD, Bridge International, Expeditors (BD) LTD, Allport Cargo Services (Air) LTD and Fresh Air Cargo received awards.
The award ceremony concluded with a grand dinner at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka's signature restaurant Cafe Bazar where a food festival named Spanish Nights was organised by Gulf Air and the hotel. Celebrity chef Nader Abbas Abdul Karim enthralled the guests with traditional Spanish delights. The festival also featured mesmerising music and dance performances.
