Visa cardholders can now pay credit card bill through bKash

Dhaka : bKash is now offering Visa cardholders payment services of their credit card bills through its app. Users of locally issued Visa credit cards can now pay their monthly bills from any bKash account without going through any hassle of waiting in queues or missing payment deadlines.
Kamal Quadir, CEO, bKash, said, "Through this service, we aim at making the process of credit card bill payment seamless for the customers. We are working hard to bring hassle-free and reliable payment solutions for creating a cashless or less-cash society."
Also, the payment procedure appears to be quite simple. On the bKash app, users can find the Visa icon in the "Pay Bill" or the "Suggestion" segment.
To pay the bill, customers only need to to enter the credit card number, bill amount and PIN, following which the transaction is processed. One per cent charge is applicable for credit card bill payment through bkash.
Eastern Bank Ltd is providing the technological support for the bill payment service ensuring interconnectivity between Visa and bKash, according to a statement.
Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO, EBL, said, "Credit card bill payment through bKash will help develop the eco-system fast where banks would have more card acquisition and merchant points to bring opportunities of digital transaction across the country. This will create convenience both for consumers and banks."
