Dhaka : Mouth-watering food with live music to provide soothing pleasure and swimming pool, billiard and kids zone to bring amusement - all reaches to a crescendo at Buzz 100 Food World.
It is a food court launched on February 1 at the capital's Notun Bazar area, adjacent to 100 feet road. It's a place not only to enjoy meals, but also to find different activities to receive the entertainment missing in your busy life.
It is owned by three partners - Syed Asadul Huq Shibly, Mohammed Saidul Islam and Badal Bhuiyan, who dreamt of such a restaurant to bring some diversity in people's everyday life.
There are 27 restaurants in the food court, occupying about 30,000 sq ft of space. Varieties of cuisines are available in these restaurants - Bangla, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Continental and many more. Most of the restaurants have unique names, not easy to come up with. There are some chain restaurants in the name of - Amar Tong, Sugar Frost, Foodbook, Deshi Hut and Juice World.
It is open for seven days a week from 9 am to 10 pm. Any one ordering food for at least BDT 1500, he/she will be offered to play games. If he/she wins any game, he/she will get to enjoy the food free of cost. People can enjoy live music from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm every day with their delicious meals.
And to the customer's utmost delight, every day, one of the restaurants gives a discount offer. During occasions, they arrange special items and entertainment options keeping the festive spirit right, making it a perfect place to spend some fun time with family and friends.
Syed Asadul Haque Shibly, one of the owners, said, "In restaurants of 300 ft area, there was no option of doing anything more than just to enjoy some meals. But I have organised this food court in a way that everyone can have fun while they come here to eat. So I brought food and entertainment under one roof."
Another owner Mohammad Saidul Islam said, "Buzz 100 Food World is near United International University. Thus, the food is served at an affordable rate."
It is a secured food court with a separate smoking zone. They always monitor whether the quality and hygiene of the food is being maintained or not.
The owners also revealed that they have plans to open three more branches - one at Bashundhara behind the Apollo hospital, another at Rampura beside East West University and lastly one at Uttara beside Rajlaksmi Market - since they have received great response so far.
