20 Bangladeshis receive complimentary treatment in China

Dhaka : The Embassy of the Peoples' Republic of China in Bangladesh organised a reception for the selected 20 Bangladeshi patients who recently returned from China after receiving complimentary treatment there. The reception was organised at the embassy premises on December 24.
The Chinese Embassy funded the treatment for the patients during their trip to Kunming from December 17 to 21. Irving Group, a leading travel agent and tour operator of Bangladesh, extended full support to the patients during their stay in Kunming.
Zhang Zuo, Ambassador of China in Bangladesh, welcoming the patients back home, said, "This is the result of the close friendly relations between China and Bangladesh. It is one of the embassy's continuous efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries."
Terming Bangladesh as one of the biggest trade partners of China he informed that export from Bangladesh to China has increased by 7 per cent while import from China has increased by 17 per cent in the recent days.
"China is rapidly emerging as a potential destination for individuals seeking medical care in a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics etc. We are happy to launch the medical treatment in China for Bangladeshis," the Ambassador added.
According to Zhang Zuo, "As healthcare is becoming costlier in the developed countries, the medical market in the developing countries is expected to grow remarkably. Cost-effective treatments, availability of inexpensive flights, increased marketing, and online consumer information seem to be driving the market."
HBM Lutfur Rahman, Chairman, Irving Group, said, "China's medical service is of great quality, advanced and affordable. Thanks to the Chinese Embassy it has opened a new door to quality medical service."
