Traditional Arabic dessert on display at Radisson Dhaka
DHAKA: Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden is hosting “Thousand and One Arabian Nights” at Water Garden Brasserie from October 25 till November 2.
The Arab Food Festival started with a grand and majestic fashion with exclusive cuisines and decorations, inspired from the rich traditions of the Arab countries. The hotel is embracing the root of the Arabian heritage, welcoming guests with the aroma of fine cuisines and a delightful Arabian ambiance.
Announcing the event at a press meet on October 23, Ramanithara Shanmugan, acting General Manager said it is taking the festival to new level in Dhaka city.
In response to a query, he also said that traditionally Arabian food festivals are organised during the month of Ramadan, but this is the season when guests would like to taste in a style.
The food festival will be held at hotel’s beautiful buffet restaurant, Water Garden Brasserie every day from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.
Executive Sous Chef Mofij Ullah who has vast experience in preparing Arab cuisines during his work in Middle-East for two decades, during a tour of the food gallery at the press meet explained the variety of food in Tunisia, Lebanon, Turkey and other Gulf countries.
Also present at the occasion was Sharfuddin, Assistant Director Sales of the hotel.
Their Executive Sous Chef, Chef Mofiz will prepare the authentic Arabian fine cuisines using fresh Arabian ingredients and serving them with a twist of the gourmet.
Guests can enjoy the incredible spectacle of live cooking dishes from the live cooking stations at the festival premise, giving a live taste of Arabian preparations. These stations will feature a host of Appetizers, Shawarmas, Rotisseries, Lamb Ouzis, cooked live and to guest’s preference.
A grand selection of delicacies will be present for the guests to enjoy starting with the soup of the day and Lamb Harirra, and light appetizers such as Hummus, Ful Meddamas, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Labneh, Cous Cous Salad, and Chick Peas Fetta.
Moving to the main course, there will be a selection of exclusive Arabian Kebabs as well specialty dishes such as Khouzi, Lebanese Baked Chicken, Lahambil Batata (Lamb and Potato), Samak Hara and a lot more for the guests to relish on. Accompanying these grand dishes will be an assortment of delicious Arabian desserts such as Dates, Khurma, Turkish Delights and Sambousek.
Guests attending the festival can also enjoy Buy One Get One offer with some selected bank cards. As a special treat for the guests, there will be a raffle draw with exciting prizes and a very special grand prize for a lucky participant.
