The honourable State Minister, Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, sits with other officials of the ministry at Secretariat (Shochibaloy), Dhaka.
Dhaka: Newly appointed State Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, Mahbub Ali said, “Airplanes and airports together are a gateway of a country, so both of them have to be attractive and tidy.”
The honourable State Minister made this statement in a meeting with the officials of the Ministry and subordinate organisations at the Secretariat (Shochibaloy), Dhaka on 8 January, Tuesday.
He also urged to work with honesty and devotion in the development of Bangladesh's promising tourism industry.
The honourable State Minister added, “One crore expatriate spread all over the world want to travel by national flag carriers. The airport authorities have to make arrangements for them to come and go with ease. Plans have to be implemented based on priority to make outbound tourists inbound.”
He took the oath on 7 January, Monday. Then, the State Minister came to the ministry on Tuesday noon. The officials and employees of the ministry set a meeting to greet him.
Former Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal spoke on the occasion. The Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Mahibul Haque gave the welcome speech.
Air Vice Marshal M. Naim Hasan, Chairman, Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammad Imran, Additional Secretary, Mizanur Rahman, Mokbir Hossain, Akhtaruzzaman Khan Kabir, Chairman, BPC, Jahangir Hossain, CEO, BTB, M Mosaddik Ahmed, MD, Bangladesh Biman and Alamgir Hossain, MD, Hill were also present.
Mahbub Ali was elected a Member of Parliament from Habiganj-4 (Chunarughat-Madhabpur) in the eleventh national parliamentary election.
