Dhaka: Smartvel, a Spanish B2B SaaS technology company, has entered the Middle East market. The start-up is already working in the tourism industry with Singapore Airlines, Iberostar Hotels, Buenos Aires Tourism Board etc.
According to a statement, the company has begun approaching its first potential customers.
The start-up’s technology services are based on big data, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.
Iñigo Valenzuela, CEO and Founder, Smartvel, said, “Such techniques allow the start-up to collect, classify, monitor, enrich, translate and geo-locate all the up-to-date events taking place at any destination in the world.”
He further added, “We want to help the main companies within the sector to improve their traveller's experience, by providing value through content solutions that allow users to get inspiration and plan a trip in an intuitive way."
Smartvel recently closed its second round of investment worth $1.05 million and acquired the British content marketing company Pearlshare. It already has a solid client base with companies such as Singapore Airlines, RIU Hotels & Resorts, Buenos Aires Tourism Board, Iberostar Hotels, Iberia or Grupo Globalia.
