Dhaka: Thai Chef Thawatchai Gapaha (Deaw) has taken the role of the new Executive Chef at Amari Dhaka with a promise to introduce an innovative contemporary line of dishes, working under the guidance of General Manager Kelly Lewis.
Chef Deaw, a Thai native, has an experience working for a strong line-up of international hospitality brands. He started his career at the Grand Pearl Cruise in Bangkok. Then he moved on to the famed Shangri-La Hotel also located in Bangkok.
Afterwards, he worked in a series of celebrated brands in prominent locations namely Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket, Grand Hyatt Doha, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, Six Seasons Resort Maldives and Amazing Hotel & Resort Group Myanmar.
His last assignment was at the prestigious Yacht Club Hotel and Resort in Myanmar where he served in the designation of Executive Chef.
“It’s a delightful feeling to be a part of Amari Dhaka,” said Chef Deaw. “I plan to innovate the culinary scene with my experience,” he added.
