Dhaka: Japan Airlines' Airbus A350 Jetliner has taken its maiden flight today.
The first JAL flight using the plane took off from Tokyo International Airport at Haneda for Fukuoka Airport in Fukuoka Prefecture, southwestern Japan, with all of its 369 seats occupied.
All seats on the airplane are furnished with a power outlet and a video display. Noise from its engines has been reduced substantially.
"We can offer more comfortable air travel (with the A350)," Yoshiharu Ueki, Chairman, JAL said at a ceremony to celebrate the first A350 flight held at a boarding gate of Haneda just before the takeoff.
Headquartered in Shinagawa Tokyo, Japan Airlines operates scheduled and unscheduled international and domestic passenger and cargo services to 220 destinations in 35 countries worldwide.
