Dhaka: Thailand’s budget carrier Nok Air is introducing direct nonstop flights on Guwahati–Bangkok route twice a week from September 22.
Flights from Guwahati will fly on Thursday and Sunday while from Bangkok the flights will take off on Wednesday and Saturday.
Thaveechai Ashareyaphadkul, CCO, NOK Air said, “Guwahati is not only an important business hub but also a city with immense tourism potential.”
To this purpose, Nok Air has announced a special introductory offer for a limited period, which includes complimentary hot meals and free baggage allowance upto 20 kg. Flight tickets are now open for sale and bookings can be made through online portals and travel agents.
The flight schedule was chosen carefully, with a late-night departure from Guwahati (01:40 am) and an early morning arrival (06:00 am) into Bangkok. The flight is perfectly timed for business and leisure travellers alike, maximising flexibility and convenience for all the passengers.
Nok Air is the first International carrier to launch direct flights from Guwahati to Bangkok enabling passengers to reach the vibrant city in less than three hours.
The carrier connects Guwahati to four more popular destinations in Thailand – Chaing Mai, Chaing Rai, Phuket and Hat Yai via Don Mueang International Airport.
Isra Stapanaseth, Director, Tourism Authority of Thailand said, “Guwahati is like the capital of Northeast of India. It is a major source market for Thailand for leisure and MICE movements which will be increasing in the near future. Nok Air will make it more convenient for Indian travellers to travel to Thailand, with a good connection to the various domestic sectors of the country such as Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Phuket and many more.”
