NOVOAIR, Firefly to provide operational support to each other

Dhaka: NOVOAIR, a private carrier of Bangladesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Firefly, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines today at the former’s head office in the city.
Under the agreement, both the airlines will support each other in the areas of training, engineering, aircraft maintenance and operations. Apart from commercial flight operation, Firefly is renowned for its pilot training and maintenance, repair and operations facility.
Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director, NOVOAIR and Philip See Yew Jin, Chief Executive Officer, Firefly signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations. High officials from the both the organisations were also present on the occasion.
“Our goal is to provide better services to passengers and ensure a safe journey. Therefore, we have signed this MoU with Firefly for necessary cooperation to further improve the quality of services,” said Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director, NOVOAIR.
Philip See Yew Jin, CEO, Firefly said, “This is a milestone for both the organisations. With this agreement, the scope of cooperation between the two parties is sure to expand. Through the exchange of experience among each other, we aim to better the service quality to our valued passengers.”
Currently, NOVOAIR operates five daily flights to Chattogram, Cox’s bazar, Saidpur, Jashore and one flight to Barishal, Rajshahi and Kolkata with six ATR 72-500 aircraft.
