Hanoi: Budget carrier AirAsia won the top awards for low-cost airline category for the seventh consecutive time at the World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania 2019, held in Vietnam.
It was once again named Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline and Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew, continuing its winning streak for the seventh year.
“It is an honour to receive these awards. Being recognised by guests and industry colleagues as Asia’s best is a testament to our ongoing efforts to develop new and innovative guest-obsessed products and services,” Riad Asmat, CEO, AirAsia Malaysia said.
“We would like to thank our Allstars, especially our award-winning cabin crew, for their hard work and commitment to delivering and providing the best experience for our guests,” he added.
World Travel Awards Founder Graham Cooke noted that the airline “continues to set the benchmark for low-cost aviation in Asia and beyond”.
