Qantas tops world’s safest airlines 2020 list by Airline Ratings

Air New Zealand comes second while EVA Air third

Dhaka: Australian carrier Qantas topped the world’s safest airlines for 2020 list by Airline Ratings. Air New Zealand came second while EVA Air was named the third safest airline in the world by the popular airline rating site.

Qantas is not only the safest in the world this year, but has been named so several times in the past. With free Wi-Fi aboard many of their aircraft, Qantas makes flying pleasurable as well as safe. Qantas connects Australia to countries in Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific. In 2020, the Australian airline turns 100 years old.

The runners-up Air New Zeland, based in Auckland, flies between 20 domestic destinations in New Zealand and also travels to 32 international destinations around the world. They mostly fly to areas in the vicinity of the Pacific Rim. The airline gives the option to fly in Premium Economy for those who do not want to pay additional thousands for Business Class but would like a little extra legroom. Their food was voted with high ratings.

On the other hand, EVA Air coming third, based near Taipei, connects its passengers to 40 international destinations around the world. Standing for Evergreen Airways, the carrier received the most praise for its customer service, cleanliness and check-in and boarding processes. Many travellers also voted the quality of EVA Air’s Business Class to be very high, which offers sizeable flatbeds and sufficient dining options.

Furthermore, Abu Dhabi based carrier Etihad Airways and Doha based Qatar Airways came fourth and fifth respectively in the list.

More than 1,000 Etihad flights take off each week to 74 destinations around the world. Millions of passengers rely on the airline and its fleet of 113 aircraft every year. The airline was commended, in particular, for its in-flight entertainment, cleanliness, and check-in and boarding services. In particular, those customers travelling in Business Class rated the experience highly.

Another middle eastern airline Qatar has been operating since 1994 and flies to more than 90 destinations around the planet, making it a very convenient airline to take. Those who have travelled on Qatar report that it has exceptional customer service and cleanliness, with great options as far as dining and in-flight entertainment go.
