Emirates celebrates 30 years of service to Saudia Arabia

Dubai: Emirates has celebrated a milestone in its operations to The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking 30 years of service to Riyadh. Since the first Emirates flight between Riyadh and Dubai in February 1990, and the airline has carried over eight million passengers on the route.
Emirates now operates four daily services to Riyadh , one with its latest Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fitted with the ‘Game Changer' First Class suites and another daily flight with its flagship A380.
Emirates SkyCargo, cargo transportation division of the airline has also played an important role in connecting KSA to the world. In the past five years, Emirates’ flights to and from Riyadh carried over 138,000 tonnes of cargo.
The airline currently offers a total of 81 weekly nonstop flights from four Saudi Arabian airports to Dubai: Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Medina Al Munawarah.
Emirates’ popular loyalty programme, Emirates Skywards, brings its 574,000 Saudi members value, choice and flexibility, and the programme continues to expand in the Kingdom as passenger demand increases.
Emirates multi award-winning in-flight entertainment system ‘ice’ with up to 4,500 channels of movies, TV programmes, music and podcasts, includes over 300 channels of Arabic entertainment.
Over 63 Saudi Arabian nationals are employed across the Emirates Group.
