Dhaka: Turkish Airlines has suspended flights to Italy, Iraq, Iran, China, Bahrain, Nakhchivan and South Korea effective immediately until April 1 over coronavirus spread.

“To help restrict the spread of the virus, adjustments have been made for our flights,” said the airline in a statement adding that the safety of the passengers in all their service processes is the carrier’s top priority.

“We are closely following up on situations arising from the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and the latest developments, together with local and international authorities,” the airline said.

In this context, transactions regarding flight cancellations can be made free of charge from the Turkish Airlines website and current mobile applications, sales offices, call center and agencies from which the ticket was purchased, the airline further mentioned.

For determined non-cancelled flights where the passengers are granted some privileges and rights, changes and refunds due to coronavirus can be made free of charge by Turkish Airlines sales offices, call center and agencies where the ticket is purchased.
