BD bans all international flights over coronavirus

Dhaka: Bangladesh is going to suspend all international passenger flights effective today at 12 am until March 31 to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The authorities of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport made the announcement in a circular yesterday.
According to their statement, all scheduled international commercial passenger aircraft departing from Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey, Malaysia, Oman, Singapore and India will not be allowed to land at any international airport of Bangladesh until March 31.
Thailand and Hong Kong are not included in the suspension list.
The decision comes as an attempt to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic which has so far infected 276,007 people and taken 11,401 lives worldwide.
Bangladesh reportedly has witnessed 20 coronavirus cases while only one has died so far.
