Dhaka: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has extended suspension of all international flights to and from the country till May 31 in an attempt to prevent further spread of the coronavirus.
The flag carrier Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) made the announcement in a circular today.
The airline also said that all international bookings must be cancelled and the tickets can be kept open and valid for one year from travel date to be used in the same cabin and same route without any restrictions.
As of April 15, Saudi Arabia reported 493 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 5,869, the Ministry of Health announced.
According to the ministry of health, the number of recoveries on that day were 42, making total of recoveries in the kingdom 931, with 71 critical cases in intensive care.
The ministry also confirmed six deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the kingdom to 79.
