China Harbour donates relief materials to poor families in Tangail

Dhaka: China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC) further donates foodstuffs to 2,000 poor families affected by COVID-19 pandemic in Tangail-1 constituency.
Harun-ar-Rashid Hira, Chairman of Dhonbari Upazilla received the relief materials from Md Shahed Ramjan, Chief Coordinator of China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd at a simple ceremony held in Tangail on May 17.
The relief materials include 10 tonnes of rice, 2 tonnes of sugar, 2,000 packets of Vermicelli and 2 tonnes of potato.
Speaking on the occasion, Md Shahed Ramjan said, “The pandemic minds no borders and is the enemy of all humanity. We will gather greater strength to surely achieve the final victory against this pandemic. As we know the saying, "A friend in need is a friend indeed", the foodstuffs donated to the poor families today is a testament to the company’s commitment to fulfill its social responsibility in Bangladesh."
Earlier the company donated Corona diagnostic kits and protection items to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, foodstuffs and protection materials to poor people at Mirsarai and Anowara Upazilas in Chattogram and Madaripur.
