China Harbour donates foodstuffs to poor families in Brahmanbaria

Dhaka: China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC) distributed 10 tonnes of rice, 2 tonnes of sugar, 2 thousand packets of Vermicelli, and 2 tonnes of potato among 2,000 poor families of Kashba Upazila in Brahmanbaria.

Md Shahed Ramjan, Chief Coordinator of CHEC Bangladesh handed over the relief materials to Rashedul Kawser Bhuiyan Jibon, Chairman of Kashba Upazila recently.

Earlier the company donated medical items to Bangladesh government, foodstuffs and corona protection materials to poor people in different areas including Mirsarai and Anowara Upazilas in Chattogram, Madaripur and Tangail.

“In the last few days we delivered emergency foodstuffs to the poor families in several districts across the country and we are very happy to continue our support to starving families. They are going through a difficult period due to the nationwide lockdown over coronavirus, especially before Eid. We always keep in mind our social responsibility," said Shahed Ramjan.
