Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has resumed scheduled international flight operations on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route on June 21, after almost three months of suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A news release issued by Tahera Khandker, Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) of Biman said a BG001 (Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Gangchil) left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:02 PM on June 21 carrying 187 passengers.
Biman will operate one weekly flight on Sunday on Dhaka-London route, added the release.
The flag carrier further mentioned that it has started flying again by providing hygiene kit during the time of issuing boarding pass, following seat allotment rules of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, ensuring that the cabin crews are following health rules and disinfecting the aircraft following ICAO guidelines to secure travel environment.
The last flight on Dhaka-London route was operated on March 30.
