Passengers without COVID-negative results must test at PMA upon arrival

Dhaka: The government of Malaysia announced that all passengers entering Malaysia from overseas are required to undergo COVID-19 screening test if they fail to produce a valid COVID-19 test undertaken prior to arrival in the country to the Health Authority at the airport.

The regulation is already in effect.

The COVID-19 screening tests are conducted at the Malaysian International Entry Point (PMA).

The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Rapid Test Kit for Antigen and Rapid Test Kit for Antibody tests cost RM 150, RM 60 and RM 30 for Malaysian citizens and RM 250, RM 120 and RM 60 for foreigners respectively.

Passengers have to undergo all three of the tests.

Also, the test results for COVID-19 undertaken prior to arrival must be in English or Bahasa Malaysia to considered valid.
