Dhaka: India’s full-service carrier Vistara has appointed MAAS Travels and Tours as its General Sales Agent (GSA) in Bangladesh, announced the latter on July 13.
Established in 1983, MAAS was accumulated by Rhythm Group in early 2019 and is readily recognised as one of the leading travel house in Bangladesh.
As GSA of Singapore Airlines for the last 34 years, and as a partner of one of the world’s largest and the most prestigious corporate travel agency “CWT”, which have an extensive global network, the reach of travel services of MAAS Travel and Tours Ltd in the world market is global.
Vistara, on the other hand, is a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited and Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA) with Tata Sons holding the majority stake of 51 per cent in the company and SIA holding the remaining 49 per cent.
Today, it connects 36 destinations, 31 across India and five outside the country.
The airline usually operates over 200 daily flights with a fleet of 32 Airbus A320s, seven Boeing B737-800NGs and one Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, and has flown over 20 million customers since its inception in January 9, 2015.
The carrier e is poised to grow its fleet significantly by adding over 40 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing by 2023, including Airbus A320neo, A321neo and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
It is India’s highest-rated airline on Skytrax and TripAdvisor. Vistara has been the winner of several ‘Best Airline’ awards in a short span of five years.
