Dhaka: Abdullah M Hasan, a veteran journalist and Founding Managing Editor of The Bangladesh Monitor has passed away in a city hospital today evening (Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Lilaihe Rajeun). He was 72. He has been suffering from COVID-19 and other comorbidities.
Late Abdullah left behind his wife and two daughters along with a host of relatives, friends and well wishers to mourn his death. A soft spoken, polite and simple nature person, late Abdullah was a well liked personality in the media and his own circle.
He started his journalistic career with The Bangladesh Times and worked in other media like The Daily Star, The Telegraph, The Daily Independent, The Daily Sun, The Bangladesh Today in different capacities. In his last days late Abdullah had been serving as the News Editor of The Financial Express.
Members of The Bangladesh Monitor family deeply condole the sad demise of Abdullah M Hassan and pray To Almighty Allah for salvation of his departed soul.
