Dhaka: Maldivian Air has announced to operate direct flights on Dhaka-Male route effective August 4.
The airline will operate two flights a week on the said route. The flight from Male will depart at 9:30 and land in Dhaka at 14:30 on Tuesdays and Fridays. On the other hand, the flight from Dhaka will depart at 16:00 and reach Male at 19:00, also on Tuesdays and Fridays. All times are local.
The flights will be operated by A320/321 and the flight time is less than four hours, said the airline.
"There is no need for a visa or any fee," announced the carrier, adding that following the coronavirus pandemic, the island nation is strictly maintaining all health guidelines to ensure the safety of travellers.
"Travellers will not face any quarantine either after reaching Maldives," the airline noted.
Furthermore, amid the sharp decline in travel demand, the resorts in Maldives are offering "rock bottom" prices to encourage travellers to visit, said Maldivian air in a press release.
The carrier is also offering a honeymoon tour package of three nights and four days at BDT 96,500.
