Regent Airways spreads wings to Doha
A Monitor Desk Report 21 May, 2017 | 1508 Views | - + Dhaka: Country's one of the private sector carrier Regent Airways has added Doha, capital city of Qatar in their international network. Doha is Airline’s second destination in the Middle East, after Muscat , which was launched in April , last year. The Airline to operate 4 flights a week to the new destination.
The inaugural flight, with a Boeing 737-800, having 8 seats in business class and 159 in economy class, departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:45pm on Friday,May 19 and arrived at Hamad International Airport in Doha at 1:45 am next day.All times are local.
The inaugural flight was greeted with water cannon salutes at the Doha Airport.
A ceremony was organised at the VIP lounge of the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to mark the launching of new route.Regent Airways Chairman Yasin Ali. Chief Executive Officer M Fazle Akbar, Advisor Ashish Roy Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director Salman Habib, and Chief Commercial Officer Akhtar U Ahmed were present on the occasion among others.
All inclusive fare on Dhaka-Doha route starts from Tk 23, 858, while the return fare from 40,596 .
Regent plans to fly to Doha from Chittagong as well from next month.
The Airline presently operates to Kolkata, Kathmandu ,Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, and Muscat in the international sector .
