IndiGo & SpiceJet announce special monsoon fares, starting INR 799

Dhaka: Indian private airlines - IndiGo and SpiceJet have announced monsoon special offers where you can book flight tickets for prices as low as Rs 799.

IndiGo has announced a Sale across its network. Under the Monsoon Special Sale, starting from now till June 14, passengers can make bookings at compelling all-inclusive prices starting at Rs 899 on select domestic destinations and vacation getaways. However, the special fares are available on first come first serve basis and are non-refundable. Under the offer, passengers can book their tickets for travel between July 1, 2017, and September 30, 2017. Meanwhile, another low-cost airline SpiceJet has been offering some big discounts as well. Under its new offer, you will be able to book tickets at an all inclusive fare of Rs 799. However, this offer had started on June 9 itself and today is the last day to book tickets under this offer. The travel period of this offer is from June 26, 2017, to September 14, 2017.

When it comes to SpiceJet, this offer cannot be seen on its website at the moment. But several travel e-portals claim that the airline is offering ticket fares for Rs 799. Meanwhile, IndiGo’s offers are for non-stop flights from Agartala, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Dibrugarh, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Indore, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.

It should be noted that such offers are subject to availability on all booking channels. According to the current position on the Indigo website, the ticket for the Bagdogra-Guwahati route is priced at Rs 899 and most of the other routes have higher prices. Yet, compared to other months the ticket prices on both the websites are at a low.

Being one of the largest passenger airline carriers in the country, IndiGo translates into a market share of 39.5 percent as of February 2017. The Gurgaon-based airline carrier currently operates flights connecting to 46 destinations across the globe- 39 domestic and 7 international. IndiGo has a fleet size of 131 including 19 new generation A320neos. Meanwhile, with a fleet of 49 aircraft, SpiceJet operates 350 average daily flights to 39 domestic and 7 international destinations.
