Index Holdings, Best Western Hotels and Resorts sign MoU

DHAKA: A MoU and franchise signing ceremony between Index Holdings Ltd, sister concern of Index Companies and Best Western Hotels and Resorts, US was held at the Grand Ballroom, The Westin Dhaka in the city on August 7.

This ceremony took place in presence of Hasanul Haq Inu, Minister for Information and Ronald Pohl, COO, Best Western Hotels and Resorts, US and Architect Md Mazherul Quader, Chairman, Index Companies, Mahin Bin Mazher, Managing Director, Md Mamunur Rashid FCMA, Deputy Managing Director and high officials of both the companies.

Representatives from the business community, investors, financial institutions, hotels and tourism sector and high officials from various ministries were also present in the programme.

Hasanul Haq Inu mentioned the socio-economic development of Bangladesh and the opportunities in the tourism sector. He hoped that the tourism sector of our country can play a vital role in our economic growth in the near future. He thanked both the companies for the initiative and hopes it would contribute in the development of our tourism sector.

Mazherul Quader spoke about the socio-economic progress of Bangladesh and mentioned the possibilities in the tourism sector. He also emphasised the importance of balance and protection of our environment and urges to provide proper guidelines and initiatives. He also requested the government to provide necessary amenities to the organisation for protecting the environment.

Ronald Pohl expressed his willingness to work with Index Holdings Ltd. to enrich the tourism sector of Bangladesh.
