BTB, CBT Bangladesh train food vendors

DHAKA: “Healthy food in a clean environment,” an awareness and training programme, involving local restaurant workers and food vendors of Rabindra Sarobar, Bangabandhu Museum and Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban area was held at Russian Cultural Centre in the city on May 14.

The daylong training programme, a joint initiative of Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) and CBT Bangladesh, was formally inaugurated by Md Emran, Additional Secretary, Administration and Tourism, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. Mohiuddin Helal, Editor, Parjatan Bichitra and Sector Specialist, CBT Bangladesh also spoke on the occasion.

Some 50 local restaurant workers and food vendors, participating in the programme, were imparted practical training on personal hygiene, preparation and sale of healthy food in a clean environment, manners and other basic aspects by reputed trainers from the country’s hospitality industry.
